Ewa Jachimczak is a visual artist and architect based in Dublin. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Poznań, Poland, she initially researched the influence of architecture on natural ecosystems, which led to her broader exploration of the tension between humanity and the built environment, with a focus on materiality and urban landscapes.
Her ongoing sculptural and photographic projects investigate the coexistence of natural and synthetic elements, often emphasizing overlooked or discarded materials. Through abstraction and documentation, she examines how these materials shape contemporary spaces, blurring the boundaries between the organic and the artificial. By reinterpreting our complex relationship with urban infrastructure, her work challenges perceptions of what defines a natural environment today.
